Peter Jobst, Global Managing Director of BenchMark, commenced his career in Financial Services over 30 years ago. Having joined BenchMark over 17 years ago, Peter is responsible for the business worldwide including the home market US and its entity. He has conducted projects in 30+ countries in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
Peter has worked for all the major truck and bus captives and almost all the automotive captives, plus exposure to direct consumer lending, fleet management and services as well as a range of IT and auto related entities
Dwayne Furmidge as BenchMark’s Director of the Americas, manages BenchMark’s proprietary best practices knowledge base incorporating strategies, organizational structures, policies, business processes, and technology support while measuring and comparing collective knowledge from successful companies.
He has over 15 years of operational and executive management experience including indirect and direct lending, structured lease originations and management, field operations, strategy, planning, finance, marketing, risk management and IT.
Ian Dewsnap is Director of European Operations for BenchMark Consulting International, overseeing several projects in a number of markets including the Middle East and Asia Pacific
He has over 37 years in automotive lending experience including as country manager in several markets including Asia Pacific as well as Executive positions in Europe including as Head of Mazda Bank Europe with $3bn in receivables. Ian has worked in 27 countries including on projects in the US and Canada as well as a number of Asia Pacific markets including China. He has also had project work in Auto, Agri, Fleet leasing, Trucks, Motorcycles, Marine and direct consumer lending. Experience includes wholesale commercial lending, business IT projects and new start businesses.
Regina Coenen is the Director Business Development and Projects of BenchMark Consulting International. Regina is an entrepreneurial leader who has an extensive international background in the areas of Operations, Collections, IT, Sales, Project management, and HR. Previously serving as Director Operations and Personnel at Volvo Auto Bank in Germany, following a successful career with Ford Credit in Spain, UK and Germany. Her experience included Dealer Account Manager, Manager Collections and Loss Recovery, Manager Business Development, and roles in managing International Projects. Regina gained additional skills in the German banking sector through her prior employments with a regional savings bank and as Coordinator County Banking Subsidiaries for an agricultural economy bank.
Martin Ballard, Director of UK Operations has an extensive asset financing background having previously worked in Ford Credit, being on the team in establishing BMW Financial Services in the UK and latterly having worked with Volkswagen Financial Services in the UK, Ireland and South Africa. His background also includes fleet leasing & management having been Corporate Solutions Director for the VWFS fleet operations in the UK. He brings many years of experience of senior executive roles in the various aspects of the asset finance business, including at board level.
Al Wangerin, Director of Benchmarking is in overall charge of the development, execution and successful delivery of our benchmarking studies and surveys. He is one of the industry’s most knowledgeable experts of operational best practices in vehicle finance and lease, fleet management, and equipment leasing (direct and vendor business) and has been the leader of many successful health check assessments around the globe.
Previous roles included various managerial functions within the Sixt Group (Car Rental, Leasing, Travel), as Head of Credit and Service of Security Pacific Eurofinance, a subsidiary of Credit Lyonnais, in the central credit department for Deutsche Apotheker- und Aerztebank, and in the national and international financial controlling function in the holding company of Mannesmann AG.
