BenchMark again partnered with The National Automotive Finance Association (NAF), the only trade association exclusively serving the below-prime autofinancing industry in North America in its annual survey of members for the 8th year in succession. Jack Tracey, Executive Director of The NAF, proudly released the report in its new format and expanded scope to the membership in November 2013.
Mr. Tracey stated: “Significant and important changes have been made to the NAF Association’s annual survey of the non-prime auto financing industry. I am pleased to issue the latest in the series of our annual reports providing 17 years of unbroken trend data for the benefit of the industry. The reports have been used extensively by companies for benchmarking, to identify trends and to support and guide policy decisions. The new data gathering approach via the web survey and new format reporting is a result of extensive work by a board committee to give the report broader and more relevant coverage. Also new this year is the participation of Experian Automotive, whose data have been used to provide additional market insight. I am pleased with this new approach and hope you will find it useful. The report provides more information about the non-prime segment of the industry than any other auto financing survey. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the committee members for their time and effort in making these changes and to our long term partner, BenchMark Consulting International, who prepared and managed the data survey and provided the analysis and this report”.
